It took initiatives in the fields of low cost sanitation health and micro credit that have the potential to promote the well being of poor. Besides addressing these practical needs of the poor TT is also involved in mobilizing people to meet strategic needs. This target is being achieved by building social capital through social inter- mediation. 

Taraqee believes that sustainable developments only can take place when the people in the community are able to build and maintain their own roads to development. They experienced that the people are aware of ways in which their environment can be improved. Taraqee wants to improve the living condition of both men and women with the least access to development. Poverty alleviation can only be reached when there is special awareness of most affected group in the society. There is special emphasis to meet their needs and improve skills and Taraqee stimulates and supports women's collective activities. For the time being two programs are running under the supervision of Taraqee Trust .
