Taraqee trust has been working in the field of low cast sanitation in all the slums around Quetta city. It has promoted about 5500 household latrines and 45 sewerage lines on self-help basis. While promoting this program TT has

gained both the technical and social experience and also trained many community members who are improving their sanitation problem in their respective areas. TT has promoted its sanitation program through the women, who took loan under micro credit program.

This strategy worked very well and recognized by the world bank as unique and novel approach. In respect of the regular programs the women borrowers of TT played a very vital and active role in improvement of sanitary conditions at Compound and community level.

As both the above mentioned programs are addressing practical needs. In order to meet their strategic needs the communities needed to be organized in a manner that they can express their socio-economic and political problems.

TT is involved in conducting various agenda through their own organizations training’s and activities which are about human rights, gender issues, and awareness building about their rights guaranteed in the constitution.
